rough day

Today was rough.  I woke up to some not so positive symptoms (in the form of spotting... sorry if this is way too much information) and started google-ing like a mad woman.  It seems that for every reassurance that what I am feeling is normal, there is also a story that confirms my worst fears.  The internet is almost as evil as this waiting period.

The good news is that nothing has worsened from this morning, it is not ideal but I did not need to go to desperate measures and break my promise to not do a home pregnancy test pre Friday's scheduled beta.

Why do the days have to be so long?  I still have four days to go and each day seems to drag on forever.  Why is it that period and progesterone symptoms and side effects are the same as positive pregnancy symptoms?  Really... is this fair at all?

Okay I will officially cease tonight's pity party and hope that tomorrow will bring some renewed optimism.

  2. Sorry for the rough day...the internet really can be your worst enemy at times. Hoping that things are going well in there!

  3. I think that you are in good form. My bleeding was more than spotting from the beginning. When I called my clinic today they said that spotting was to be expected and the most people spot. I have a great feeling that you will have a fabulous outcome....one of us has to. You will be the success story that keeps me going!! If I had a time machine I would fast forward until Friday for you!

  4. I'm so sorry; the 2ww *is* brutal. There's just no way around it. The days are months long. You'll get through it eventually. And just because today was an especially rough day doesn't mean they'll all be so tough. None will be full of magic rainbows and fluffy kittens, but not all will be as bad as the worst day.

  6. Ashley, don't stress out about spotting. My SIL's best friend had heavy bleeding during 2ww after ET, but she had a BFP, and gave birth to a healthy baby girl, who is now 4 years old. And there are lots of stories like that. So, positive thinking!!! Hoping that Friday will come sooner than you think.

  7. Step away from the Googling! All of the symptons can mean anything and it just makes you go nuts! Although, I can never take my own advice :(

  8. Could be implantation bleeding? Searching the internet is hard, you search for one thing and they freak you out about everything else. I am hoping for you!

  11. I really hope that it's implantation spotting. I hate that this has to be so hard! Thinking of you and praying.

  12. I really hope that it is a implantation spotting. A friend of mine had spotting a few days ago and now she knows for sure that it was implantation spotting (nothing more). Days seem to be dragging these days for me, too. Will it help if you think of those three remaining days as your last days to be ? (not sure what would be the word) Sort of like a foreign country you are leaving in three days and never going back to it. Sorry for being silly here, just wanting to ease your agitation.
