adventures in tree trimming

I attempted to put up the Christmas Tree on Thursday night.  I was successful but it was not without a little challenge courtesy of Heidi and Little One.

First challenge...convincing Heidi that the tree will be more fun once it is out of the box...
Second challenge...coax our super shy kitty to get out of the tree so we can get the lights working...
Today's challenge... decorating it.  I went for something a bit different on the mantle this year.  I diverted from my Mother's mantra...Christmas must be red and green... and went with blue and green instead... so this risky move must also work with the tree.

On another note we started the Puregon yesterday.  I say we because my Husband now has to stick me with two needles a day... Yesterday's injections went surprisingly well aside from the fact that I have a bruise from the Puregon.  Bring on the follicles... grow, grow, grow!!

Happy Saturday!

  1. I love your Christmas spirit! I am going to imbibe heavily this year so I don't lose my mind wondering about everything else.

Thank you for visiting and good luck. I'm looking forward to getting to know you. Funny that we both stopped the pill and our bodies didn't quite get the joke. It was a godsend when I was 20. I am definitely one of those women who spent my 20s trying not to get preggo and will spend my 30s trying. Oh well. As long long as a sense of humor stays intact on this journey, we'll be fine!

  2. Great photos of the girls (they are both girls right?). So cute (for cats, JK :)). And I love the blue and green theme - I'm all for it over red and green.

Good luck in your next phase. Am following along so keep us all up to date.

  4. Beautiful mantle. I love how you decorated it. Blue and green is a colour combo I really like.
Heidi is such a beauty!!! I love her in every picture you put up. Give her a little pet from her adoring fan Augusta.
And, glad to read that you are now in the stim phase. This means it's all going to go down pretty soon. You'll be at trigger and ER before you know it. And the needles won't be over but certainly less frequent.

  8. Returning your ICLW visit and wishing you luck with the IVF. My cat also loves the Christmas tree. Laying under it, eating it, and making himself comfortable amongst the presents!

  9. awesome - Thanks for the ICLW comment. I have two fresh spunky kittens, but no tree yet. Not sure how my decorating will go this year, but you are an inspiration.

  11. My cat looks just like your cat. :) She sits behind the tree, on the tree skirt, so I end up with an enormous tuft of kitty fur by the end of the holidays.
